Many feel overwhelmed by the planning process and love all the seasons for different reasons. Keep reading for some reasons why you should book a summer session. Stay tuned soon for the Fall edition.
Keep in mind that I only offer a limited amount of sessions each month and a total of 40 seniors for the class of 2025. Senior sessions will sell out and popular times of year go quick. Check out each month below to see if it's popular time of year. It's never too early to secure your senior session date!
June
June might seem a little early for your senior session but it's such a great month! The weather is usually nice and warm but not too hot. Greenery and grasses are looking fresh and lush while summer flowers are beginning to bloom. Summer dresses and shorts with tanks really bring the summer vibes. It's also a great time to be on the beach! Other pros are that you get to have your senior session before most of your friends so you get first dibs on popular locations and you get to have a new profile pic for the summer and for all of your senior year. You even get to see your images faster because busy season hasn't set in yet. For guys this is a great month to get in before the heat sets in and you can avoid busy fall sport and activity schedules.
July
July is also perfect for those summer vibes. Usually this month lands between summer and fall sports, which is great for those who have busy schedules. The weather has gotten hot but that usually means it's also evened out and the chances of a rain delay are slim. If you want some pics at a county fair this month is ideal, however you might want to avoid it if you are in 4H or FFA and participate in the fair. Summer flowers are in full bloom and the chance of finding wild flowers is high.
August
August usually is the first of the summer months to fill up with seniors trying to get in before school starts. If you think you might prefer an august session, don't hesitate to snag your date. Nature is usually looking really good but can be a bit dry at the end of summer which means brown and crunchy grass. Urban areas are usually well manicured and look great. School is still out so you don't have to worry about missing a half day but you are really starting to feel like a senior with the first day looming around the corner. Sunflowers are blooming at the end of August, but most fields require an appointment and a small photography fee. Something to keep in mind if you're hoping for sunflowers. p.s. getting a bunch of flowers from a florist gives the same vibe.
